Define conservation...
Then, give me a list of at least three real life conservation efforts being implemented by various groups. I would also like for you to list the goals/purpose of the the organization's conservation efforts.
Conservation- preservation, protection, or restoration of the natural environment, natural ecosystems, vegetation, and wildlife.

1. Overview- An overall input of what's going on in the environment and what the problem is.
2. Coral Reefs- Are bring threatened and harmed and it will be a deadly impact when they are all destroyed.
3. Human Impact- What the humans did to the coral reefs and how they are trying to protect them and bring them back to full strength

ReplyDeleteMissouri conservationist are trying to manage deer populations by taking people on managed deer hunts during the season.
Missouri conservationist are also setting the statewide daily limit for nongame fish taken by underwater spear fishing is now 20.
Missouri conservationist are also making hunters buy tags to tag the animals you kill in any certain season of hunting.

ReplyDeleteWildlife and Hunting; If there was no other form of conservation apart from the designation of parks and reserves then many of our familiar animals and plants would rapidly disappear. Hunting and forest reserves make a significant contribution to the total conservation effort in many countries.
Managing the Ecosystem; The intricacies of the delicate Food Web are not always taken into account. In many cases the problems which sometimes follow the destruction of predators have been complicated and unpredictable.
National Parks, Game Reserves and Nature Reserves; all parks and reserves are wild areas which are designated as protected habitat. However, each one differs in the description of its purpose and function.

ReplyDelete1. Zoo Atlanta has multiple conservation efforts in Georgia and all around the world. There conservation efforts include, Elephants Giant Pandas, and Tigers
2. Zoo New England- Supporting the Snow Leopard thrust, The Mexican Gray Wolf, and helping baby Banding Turtles.
3. Chattanooga Zoo- Supports efforts of conservation for highly endangered Jaguars In Argentina, Research population of Hell-benders, the largest salamander species in the United States.

It's a helpful approach, one that is vital to the health of our planet.

Oceana seeks to preserve the very core of our planet's health by protecting its oceans. Without healthy oceans, we can scarcely hope for healthy landscapes. Our oceans sustain life on dry land through their role in maintaining the atmosphere we breath, the water we drink, and the food we eat.
3. Conservation International
Conservation International employs scientists and policy experts to balance healthy ecosystems with sustainable human use. Conservation International aims to help stabilize global climate, protect fresh water, and ensure human well-being. To achieve their goals they work with indigenous peoples and non-governmental organization. Conservation International's primary initiatives include climate, fresh water, food, health, culture, and biodiversity.

Nottingham Recycling
Recycling is accepted as an important method to help the environment and reduce waste. The Town of Nottingham has a long standing tradition of recycling, being one of the very first towns in the entire country to begin recycling in the early 1970’s. During recent years we have observed an increase of recyclables being placed into the garbage chute. This raises concerns for the Town both from the environmental impact and financial burden perspective. It turns out that even a modest 10% increase in recycling the types of materials that we can recycle today can have up to a $50 impact on property taxes. If we can achieve a 50% increase in recycling, which sounds like a lot, we can match the amount of money is costs the Town to get rid of non-recyclable garbage. Imagine the lessened environmental impact we could achieve!
